House of Night Series...

So I just started this new series last week, called the House of Night series and I'm not going to lie they are really good books! The books go like this, Marked, Betrayed, Chosen, and Untamed. I'm on book three, Chosen and they are just really addictive. The characters are relatable except for the whole turning into a vampire thing, and the plot is super creepy but you just cant look away! So if you're in the market for a new novel I would recommend these.

This is my last week of school before Christmas break!!!! I am so excited, but I'm really excited for all my friends to open their presents:) Im a gift giving junkie I've decided, I buy presents weeks before Christmas and then I want to give them to them as soon as they're wrapped! I'm a very impatient person so it's really hard for me to wait until the week before Christmas break:)
In other news, I finally got to see Twilight!!!!! And I don't care what anyone says because I liked it and that's all that counts! I've also decided that Robert Pattison is the perfect Edward!!! But I recently heard that they aren't going to use the same guy for Jacob! I know crazy right I guess they want someone who's more fit!!!

Dear Santa,

I know that I'm older now, and you probably have better thing to do then read my Christmas list on my blog, but I thought it was worth a shot. That being said, lets get the ball rolling with a classic, I want a baby bulldog puppy, (preferably house trained.) I would like Edward Cullen with a bow on top! I want a second Guitar for my Wii so me and my mom can have a rock battle. I would greatly appreciate it if you could keep gas below $2.00. (an actual car to put that cheap gas in would also be nice.) I want every Twilight shirt ever made so that I could give them away to all my Twihard friends. I would like Pineapple Express on DVD, and while were in that category, throw in Tropic Thunder too. Last but not least, I want you to bring toys to everybody young and old this Christmas, because everyone deserves something special, even if it is coal, (it's the thought that counts right?) This saturday my family and I took a little road trip up to Bodie. For those of you who haven't heard the stories: Bodie is an abandoned ghost town right outside of Bridgeport, California. The legend says that if you take something from Bodie, whether it be an antique of even a cool looking rock you will inherit the Bodie curse. The Curse goes like this, upon your third week after returning back home your family and friends will start dying off one by one until you're all thats left, and then you'll kill yourself out of loneliness. Talk about rough...

On saturday me and some other people went up to Apple hill. It's really beautiful this time of year, the leaves have all changed, and the apples are practically begging to be picked. They always have booths set up at all the farms and wineries so it's always a blast:)

I just finished reading this book called, The Host, and it really got me thinking about our souls, and what is going to happen to me when I die. I've always believed in God, even when it seemed almost impossible to me, but I've never truly understood what happens in the afterlife if there is one. Does your soul leave your body and return to heaven only to be reunited with your loved ones who passed on before you, or does your soul wander from new body to body, and if that's true, can you remember your past lives, your families your friends? And if our souls go to Heaven, or where ever you believe their going how can you recognize the people you once loved without their bodies? What do our souls even look like? Are there other planets that our souls get reassigned to, or is this it? I've got so many questions and doubts, and fears the worst being what happens if there is no afterlife. Do you just blackout, never thinking, or wanting or feeling again? So, the problem is I need to know: Afterlife or Not? Until someone can prove different, I'm going with my version, my happily ever after.

Music carries along with it some of the most heart felt expressions and feelings. You feel what that artist felt, and that's why music can be such a comforting thing. I love all music because most all music makes me feel, it doesn't matter what that feeling is, it only matters that I'm feeling it. I love to turn on music when I'm depressed, angry, sad, joyous, in lust, in love, it really doesn't matter. It's almost like you turn on music that you know will support your mood, because it's like someone else is feeling it with you...

Homecoming 08'

Homecoming was on Friday, and it was a blast! We had a New york socialite theme, and I had a bomb time! Of coarse we won our homecoming game against Galena 41-21, which made the dance even more enjoyable for everyone:D I absolutely love homecoming week, especially Thursday & Friday. We have our bomb fire on Thursday, and our pep rallies on Friday which is always exciting, gets your blood racing, and pumps everyone up for the big games!

Alright, when you live in a small town, any little event seems huge. In my lovely little town we have our "huge" thing towards the end of every september, and we like to call it the Candy Dance, (Even though I have yet to see any dancing in all my years of going). It's basically when hundreds of vendors set up their booths in historical Genoa, and every freaken person within a hundred mile radius comes to eat, drink, and check out the local goods.

I just got back a couple of hours ago, and let me tell you that it was an effing disaster! First we had to sit in the car in bumper to bumper traffic for an hour on a road that is only a mile and a half long for crying out loud! Then it was so damn packed that I didn't even have to walk because i just got moved which ever way the crowd was going:D!

It's always fun though, to see people all together having a fun time. Even if their mostly drunk, hot, and packed like sardines!

Okay, so I find myself in need of a little advice...

I have these two guys, who I think are super cute and sweet, and i want to go to homecoming with both of them...

They each have certain qualities that I like, and they each have qualities I don't particularly like. I'm so torn...

So for the sake of the question let's call them guy A, and Guy B...

GUY A:

...is super sweet, he's really funny. He loves kids like I do

he tall dark and handsome, but he smokes... ALOT!

GUY B:

...can be sweet when he wants to be, is also very funny, but not always in a nice way

He is also very tall, dark, and handsome, and he's hecka athletic...

But, he's kind of a playa?!

I had today off from school AND work which is a miracle in its own, so I decided that I should go and get nails put on for homecoming...

My appointment was at two, and one thing led to another and I ended up having to walk there! I know! I left my homestead, and I was sure I was going to be late, so i tried to speed up the pace a little, turns out, not so good!

I end up tripping not once, not twice, but three damn times in front of oncoming traffic! I was so embarrassed, but it gets better. I go in spend an hour an a half getting my nails done, and right as I was leaving I stab my nail with one of my other nails!!!!!

Needless to say I shouldn't be aloud to leave my house without supervision...

What's the best new show on television you ask, well if you really want to know, It's most definitely Sons of Anarchy. I love the plot, the characters, the conflicts, and having an extremely sexy cast doesn't hurt one bit! The star of the show Jacks, (Charlie Hunnam) is so sexy it hurts. You may have also seen him in Green Street Hooligans, by the way also an awesome movie! I've never ever felt the urge to ride a motorcycle before now! You all should watch that fo sho!

Ahhh, the summer is coming to an end, with that ending summer also ends my sleeping in till' ten, and my freedom... for now. I don't dislike school, I dislike the time that i have to go to school at! I have zero period this year so my classes start at 6:30am! Just an Update...

My room is slowly but surely coming along! I've gotten almost everything: Bed, Dresser, Nightstand, Shelves, Sheets/Duvet, Pictures/mirrors, and the paint! I'm broke, but at least I have a place to sleep! I'm keeping a video diary of the room transformation, so hopefully I can post it when it's all done!:) I'll keep you guys updated:D

Antique Shops...

I live in a small town with a ton of huge antique shops. I absolutely love antique shops, it makes me stop and really think about things. It makes me wonder what will be in my grandchild's antique shops, iPods, computers, cameras, or will they even have antique shops, will they only focus on what's in the future and not what was in their past. I think that if everyone would stop and take a second to remember the past, then everyone would realize just how special NOW is, and they would stop worrying about the future.

My poor animals are afraid that I'm moving!

Room Remodel!

Today I'm doing a DEEP cleaning of my room, because I'm thinking about doing a total room remodeling! I mean the works, a new bed, new furniture, new paint, new bedding, a totally new design! I am so exited, I just wish that my room wasn't such a disaster area!

Today I got a job offer for something that I wanted to do all along, it pays $11.50 an hour, there's no manual labor involved, and I get to be around kids all day! As if it couldn't get any better, It's within walking distance,(no gas) and I would still get weekends and holidays off! it's my dream job, so everybody cross your fingers!:D

Being Fought Over Doesn't Always Rock...

SMITHS vs. OLD NAVY

You all know that I work two jobs, (Smiths & Old Navy) so lately both of my bosses are fighting over me like crazy! It really makes me feel bad that I can't be in two places at once, because that seems to be what they expect of me these days! I can only work so many days out of the week. Right now, I work about six days every week, (Three for each job). So on Friday I get a call from my boss at Smiths, (even though she knows that I work Mon-Wend at Smiths and Fri-Sun at Old Navy) and she asks me if I can come into work from eight to ten. I tell that i can't because it's my Old navy day.

So later that day, around four my mom gets home and tells me that she needs to pick up some things at the store... So I go with so that I can pick up my pay check. As were checking out this other bagger, who i don't particularly like, comes up and starts talking with the cashier. Now I wasn't really looking my best if you know what i mean, I was wearing sweats, I had my hair up in a messy bun, and i had a gigantic pair of sunglasses on because I was in my pool all day so my makeup was smeared, and my eyes were blood shot from the chlorine. So naturally i didn't want to take my sunglasses off. So they're talking, and you know that feeling you get when you not really sure if someone remembers you because you only like said hi to them once, well that's what i felt about this cashier so i didn't say anything, so the bagger who I don't like was like,

"That's the girl that Desi called in to work, but she said she was already working, but she's here now." I swear I was going to punch that girl in her face! At the end of the day, I could care less about what some nineteen year old bagger at Smiths has to say about me. Plus if all fails with this job, I always have my Old Navy!

Lately I've been so stressed out! Between working two jobs, paying bills, getting my classes for next year, and trying to balance family and friends in with everything else, I feel like at any moment I'm going to crumble beneath all this pressure! Whenever i try to get together with friends either I'm working on the days they're off or their working on the days I'm off, or they already have plans, or I already have plans! Ughhhh!

I'm trying to be more organized so that we all know when everyone works, but then it's like i have to keep track of not only my own schedule, but fifteen other people's too...

Somedays I just don't think that I'm cut out for all this work stuff, so as of now i've decided that to make my life easy I'm just going to marry some billionaire and never work another day in my life! JK!

I went to see Mamma Mia! on Saturday with my mom, and at first I was like Oh great a musical... but it ended up being really good. The cast was great, and unlike most musicals it was funny and interesting, in other words it actually had a plot, and I loved it. I would recommend it to anyone!

I was so excited to learn that today was a holiday, I was like thank god! Finally a day off from work. And then I was totally crushed when I found out that Old Navy doesn't close on Fourth of July!

Fitting Rooms

If you've seen my profile then you know that I currently work at Old Navy, which by the way is so fun to work at. Lately, all I've been doing is working in the fitting rooms which is great and every thing except for those certain times.

We've all been there, we're all excited that wherever we're shopping at has all the cute clothes in our sizes right. So we end up bringing about fifty items of clothing into the fitting rooms, and we get into a room start getting naked but as we're trying on all those cute clothes we realize that nothing FITS! So naturally we're pissed, and even though we know it's not there faults we had that extra french fry, we're going to take it out on those poor unexpecting fitting room attendents anyways, don't feel bad, I used to be the same way.

So next time you happen upon a fitting room just think about all the other cranky people that she/he has had to deal with all day before you decide to try on that "one size too small" pair of jeans when you know too well that they aren't going to fit. Instead grab the one size too big pair of jeans at least that way when you leave you'll be feeling better about yourself.

President Bush

These last few months I've been thinking a lot about the war in Iraq and the way President Bush is running what many once considered the greatest country in the world. To be completely honest, I'm not sure what I stand for and who I believe in anymore. I think it's great that Senator Obama is campaigning for change, because if our country needs anything, it's change.

In the past I've tended to ignore political campaigning for the most part, but not so much this year. How could I not, it has been the most talked about election in history. We have Hilary Clinton(who personally makes me want to pee my pants); the first woman candidate ever to run for president. No offense Hilary, but I don't think you're strong enough to pull the United States out of giant pit that President Bush has forced this country into. We have Senator Obama; a handsome black man who seems to understand what this country needs, I think that he has all the qualities that the future president of the United States should have and if I was eligible to vote I would most definitely be voting for him. And last we have McCain, I don't know much about him really, only the fact that he's a Republican(I don't want any one who reads this to think that I hate republicans, because I would never, ever judge a person based solely on their political opinions). I feel like this upcoming election should be an interesting one indeed...

As always I'll keep you updated on my thoughts whether you want to read them or not is completely up to you:)

Ellen Hopkins

For those of you who don't know her name, this blog is for you...

...She's only one the best authors ever to bless America's youth with her words. She's written bestsellers like Crank, Burned, Impulse, Glass, and she has a new book coming out called Identity. I've read all her books and by far my favorite is Burned. It pulls at every emotion, I loved, hated, envied, lusted, and lived for this book. I barely put it down.

She lives in Carson City, Nevada and bases all her books in Reno Nevada. I love her as an author, and would give anything to meet her, maybe have her sign one of my books...wink,wink:)

So I definitely recommend all of her books, and Ellen, if you're reading this, which I doubt you are, you should E-mail me sometime...

Finals

There comes a time in every kids life when they have to get up in the morning, go to school at 7:00 AM, walk into that dark and unfriendly classroom, sit down in those overly uncomfortable desks, and take a little test the devil likes to call finals...
Let me tell you a little something about finals, finals are just another way that the MAN keeps us down! Finals aren't any different than any other regular school tests, teachers just make them seem life threatening to make you want to pee your pants. People wouldn't freak out as much if they knew that they were just normal tests, I mean when kids get all stressed out and worried about it chances are that they are going to fail. It's stupid that our futures are determined by our test scores, I mean you could be amazingly smart but freeze up on big tests, therefore preventing you from getting into the college you wanted.
The ways schools put so much pressure on kids to do well on these tests is setting them up for failure. If you're a student some where out there, and you're about to take a final or a SAT, just calm down and don't think about it. Trust me you'll do much better if you're not having a heart attack the whole time you're bubbling in letters. I'm never going to let some test tell me whether or not I'm going to fail at life, and neither should you.

Stamp Collecting

Recently I've decided to become a stamp collector...
I know what you're thinking, and stamp collecting is so NOT gay. It's actually really sick. At first I just bought a few, you know to get me started off, but then I couldn't control myself. I just kept buying and buying, and before I knew it i had 800!
When they finally arrived at my homestead, I was so excited that I didn't even notice that all 800 stamps were in little cocaine bags, and the those little coke bags told me that I couldn't touch them with my freakin' hands!! Being the prepared stamp collector that I was NOT, I didn't bother to purchase the albums that the website said I needed...
So ten days later I received the albums from HELL! It took me a good five hours to put those 800 quarter inch stamps into those two albums, but in the end I have to say it was all worth it...NOT!
Even though I know that those stamps put through hell, I still find myself wanting to buy more, I'll never understand myself. I've decided.

The Friend Nobody Likes

I absolutley HATE when people tell me what's best for me, when really it's what THEY want me to do....

For example: say you really want to call some one out, but you don't have the balls.. so you say something to me that you know will make me want to call that person out too, therefore you instigate it while still coming out clean...On the other hand every one looks at me like the bad guy even though I was doing the same thing that you wished you could do yourself...

(I hope that made sense) I have this girl, let's call her...Betsy, and "Betsy" won't keep her big mouth shut about things that don't concern her. She has to interfer with everyone elses relationships, (Friends, lovers, family, exc.) because she can't face the fact that none of her relationships will ever last, and you know why...

BECAUSE, she's too damn busy ruining every one elses lives to realize what she's doing to her's! I've tried my best to like her, I mean I've REALLY tried, but I can't like someone who's only going to try and make my life even harder then it already is...

I guess Dane Cook's right, ther will always be a friend that nobody likes.
